Worthy Matron going out speech:
It has been an honor to have served as your worthy
matron. This year could have not been such a success without all of your
support and dedication to our order. It has been a really busy year and
the fun and fellowship we have shared I will always cherish. During the
year we took up a collection of food, toys, and hygiene products for the
Domestic Violence Shelter in Waynesville. We did a fund raiser for
Missouri Child Identification and Protection Program. We also had
volunteers from our chapter participate in both MoChip events that
Richland and Waynesville Lodges hosted in our area. We attended the
school of instruction and all of you did a beautiful job. We honored the
masons and youth groups with a special dinner and gifts. We also donated
a love gift to our local Rainbow Girls and Demolay Boys. We had a yard
sale to raise money for our chapter. When we heard about the terrible
tornado that hit Joplin we immediately collected nonperishable food and
medical supplies. Our Worthy Patron Brother Gerald Hill took the items
to Laclede Lodge who was sponsoring a food drive for the Valley of
Joplin. We collected stuffed Mickey Mouse’s which were donated to the
Missouri Highway Patrol to help comfort children. We did a fund raiser
for Richland Care Center to help with the resident’s recreation needs
and we also donated goods to the Disabled American Veterans. This is
just a few things that we have done this year. I want you to know each
of you mean the world to me and that I love you all. Thank You for all
your support and dedication.
